Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand is a magical place that comes alive in July and August with pretty blooms everywhere. As a trek, for adults, it is a moderate trek for beginners. It is easily doable and hence remains a favourite.
When you are doing this with children, the odds might be different, which is why we have curated a special trip for families with young children.
Kids often surprise you on a trail. They take to climbing and navigating trails easily. And they are full of energy. But they also need a lot of rest to balance it all out. We take it at a slower pace, but ensure that all the main elements are intact.
This is a 6-day trek that follows the itinerary below. Our seasoned and energetic trek guide, Vipasa or Neeth, will be there to take you through this.

| 03 | Joshimath to Ghangaria | Drive to Govindghat, then a 4km jeep ride to Pulna. Trek 9km to Ghangaria. | Base Village Lodge: Clean, basic, and cozy. |
| 04 | The Valley (Day 1) | Explore the core of the Valley of Flowers. Spend 5-6 hours among the blooms. | Same Ghangaria Lodge. |
| 05 | The Valley (Day 2) | A second, deeper visit to the valley or a rest day by the river for the kids. | Same Ghangaria Lodge. |
| 06 | Ghangaria to Dehradun | Descend to Pulna/Govindghat. Long drive back to Dehradun for your flight. | Depart for Bangalore. |
